Community Transit is for everyone!
Community Transit of United Community Action Partnership is a public transit service providing transportation options for all people throughout Southwest Minnesota.
Everyone is welcome to ride Community Transit. Our fleet of over 40 lift-accessible buses provides public transportation throughout 8 counties in Southwest Minnesota. Our primary service area includes Cottonwood, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Pipestone, Redwood, and Rock counties.
Community Transit offers primarily dial-a-ride service. Door-to-door and curb-to-curb pick-ups are available. In Marshall and Redwood Falls, we also offer scheduled routes for convenient access to many locations.
Community Transit is a shared ride program. This means all trips are coordinated to include as many passengers as possible based on their pick-up and drop-off locations.
Bus schedules are created in advance to meet the travel needs of passengers who have requested our services.
Volunteer drivers provide rides to destinations outside the primary service area or when buses are not available.
Community Transit Ride Passes
The cost is $80 for an unlimited monthly ride pass, which includes unlimited bus travel within a calendar month for anyone traveling throughout the county. Monthly passes for in-town travel are $70.

UCAP will provide documents upon request in the most appropriate accessible format usable to the requester. This may include electronic formats, large print formats, and/or audio formats, as examples. To make requests please contact: [email protected]
Other Transportation Options
When travel outside our community transit service area is required or special accommodations are needed, we connect riders with volunteers. Volunteers can simply provide reassurance during a trip or actually drive people to out-of-area appointments. Trip requests are accommodated based on the availability of volunteers.
We are leading the region in helping people find the transportation they need when the existing options don’t meet their needs. We work every day to create new transportation possibilities. Email our Mobility Administrator today for help finding lift-accessible transportation outside our service area or more information about this program.
